What’s on

Ways to get on stage

Every campus has its own events through the year. Here’s what to look for.

Student performing an original piece at the Merriam Composition Recital

Sign-up recitals

Relaxed, optional performances for every age and level, including dress-up recitals in October. A great warm-up for exams and festivals. Online students share a recording in a YouTube premiere.

Concerts

Faculty Concerts in Oakville’s Studio A in October, December and April, plus choir recitals and band concerts through the year.

Keymaster sessions

Hands-on workshops on rhythm, improvisation, songwriting, drums, voice, guitar and exam prep, some in person and some online.

Jam Nites and Battle of the Bands

Play with other students in a casual jam, or bring your band to Battle of the Bands in May.

Adult evenings

Adult Coffee House Open Mics, adult jam sessions and karaoke nights. Grown-ups get the spotlight too.

Year-end recitals

Studio recitals in May and June where students meet and hear others who study with the same teacher. Your teacher will share the date.

Performing with a track?

Send your
backing track

If your child is performing with a backing track, submit it at least 48 hours before the event. Past submissions aren’t kept, so send the track again for each performance. No track file? Ask your teacher.

Festival and StudioFest tracks go through the festival registration process, not this form. Submit a track → School calendar
